Management of information, including records creation, records inventory and appraisal, retention / disposition scheduling, filing systems, maintenance of inactive records, micrographics, vital records protection and electronic impact on records management
There are two teachers that run this class and both are above and beyond qualified. If you take Lefevre's class, you can expect to write a couple papers. There is a semester-long project as well that includes observing and evaluating a records management program that is (or isn't) in place. You will be expected to present on this at the end of the term.
Professor Lefevre is a very engaging lecturer and is a self-described records management zealot. Further, he is a fair grader and will work closely with students to succeed in his class. The textbook he uses is very clear and concise. The additional readings are also very helpful literature. Be expected to discuss weekly records mangement news bits.
